Description
This is an image of Impact field at the Flight 93 Memorial in Sommerset County. There is a boulder out in the left third of the image marking the initial impact which happened at over 500 mph. The plane then went to the right. The quiet out at this memorial is eerily reminiscent of how it sounded after 911. None of the visitors talk above a whisper, most were silent, there is no buzz that you usually hear in everyday life. It is very peaceful and respectful with spots to leave items in the wall leading to the marble memorial wall. No one is allowed onto the impact field to let those heroes have peace, and respect for their sacrifice in protecting America that a national hero deserves
To emphasis that this is a memorial to those that lost their lives, I purposely left parts of the black wall in the corners of the image.
United Airlines Flight 93 was a passenger flight which was hijacked by four al-Qaeda terrorists on September 11, 2001, as part of the September 11 attacks. It crashed into a field near the Diamond T. Mine in Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania near Shanksville, during an attempt by some of the passengers to regain control, killing all 44 people aboard including the four hijackers. No one on the ground was injured. The aircraft involved, a Boeing 757222, was flying United Airlines' daily scheduled morning domestic flight from Newark International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, to San Francisco International Airport in San Francisco, California.

Beautiful tribute to the fallen heroes, and the victims of the maniacal terrorists, who were aboard Flight 93. God bless the surviving families, and God bless this country.
